JEE Main Counseling and Seat Allotment 2020

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the JEE Main Counseling and Seat Allotment for those candidates who have qualified the NTA JEE Main 2020. The Counseling and Seat Allotment procedure will start from third week of June 2020. To participate in the NTA JEE Main 2020 Counseling and Seat Allotment Procedure, candidates have to register themselves first. The Counseling and the Seat Allotment procedure is conducted on the basis of the merit, seat availability and choice filling. In this article, we will provide the complete procedure of NTA JEE Main 2020 Counseling and Seat Allotment Procedure.


NTA JEE Main 2020 Counseling and Seat Allotment Procedure:

The NTA JEE Main Counselling 2020 and the Seat Allotment process involves the following steps:
Online Registration: Candidates have to register themselves online by providing their JEE Mains Roll Number and Password.

Online Choice Filling and Locking: Here, candidates have to fill and lock their choice of colleges and B. Tech Programs in order of their preferences as the seat allotment will be done on the same basis.

Seat Allotment: Here, the candidates will be alloted seats on the basis of the merit, choice filling and seat availability. Before the Seat Allotment procedure there will be mock allotment of seats which will take place in two rounds. The mock seat allotment procedure is just a trial procedure to give an idea to the candidates of how the seat allotment procedure works and this will help the candidates to chose better preferences in the main rounds.

Payment of Fees and Seat Acceptance: In the Seat Allotment Procedure, candidates have to choose any one of the following:

Freeze- If the candidate is satisfied with his/her seat allotment procedure and do not wish to participate in further seat allotment rounds. They can choose this option.

Float- In case, candidates want to keep the seat allotted and wish to upgrade their seat they can select this option.

Slide- Candidates can choose this option, if they accept the seat allotment and wish to upgrade the course in the same Institute.

Withdraw- This option is chosen when the candidates have already accepted the seat and want to withdraw the seat by reporting it to the Institute allotted before the last round of allotment.

Candidates can make the payment of the fees through SBI Net Banking/ e-Challan. The seat acceptance fee is Rs 45, 000/-. While the Reserved category candidates have to pay Rs 20, 000/- as the acceptance fees.

Document Verification: In this process, candidates have to get their documents verified at the Help Centers. The list of the documents that have to be verified by the candidates are as follows:
  • Three Passport Size Photographs (the same uploaded in the registration)
  • Provisional JoSAA seat Allotment Letter
  • Photo Identity Card
  • Proof of Seat Acceptance Fee Payment
  • JEE Main 2020 Admit card
  • Date of Birth Proof
  • JEE Main 2020 Score Card
  • Class XII Mark Sheet
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
Final Reporting to the Alloted Institute: After the Document Verification process, candidates have to report the Alloted Institute. Make the payment of the Balance Fees at the Institute.

Check JoSAA Counselling Details For 2018


The JEE Main Counselling and the JEE Advanced counselling will will be conducted by JoSAA.  The candidates qualifying the JEE Mains and JEE Advanced will have to register themselves with JoSAA. The candidates will be allocated the seats according to the merit and preferences. Candidates will be called for the counselling process only after their successful registration. While in the registration process candidates will be given to choose their preferences which will be taken into account. There will be two mock allotments of seats after which the candidates will be able to modify their choices knowing their probability of Admissions in the institutes.

 JoSAA Counselling Procedure 2019


 (1)   The JoSAA  Counselling procedure starts with the registration. The registration process starts from June tentatively. Candidates have to log in with their JEE Main Roll Number and Password. JEE Advanced qualified candidates will enter the JEE Advanced roll number and password. Candidates then have to fill up the needed details correctly to complete the registration process. In case the candidates will to change the contact details, it has to be done  at the time of registration. During the registration process, candidates have to change the password for their login id.
(2)    The candidates next have to fill the preferred choices and lock it. Choice filling will start from the month of June tentatively. Candidates with the JEE Main scores will be able to choose the available choices from the IIITs, NIITs and GFTIs and JEE Advanced qualifiers will be able to choose from the options available in the IITs. There will be options to arrange the choices as per preferences and also can modify the or interchange the choices. Candidates can delete the unwanted choices using multiple deletion. After choosing candidates can save the options and  lock the preferred choices. It is important for the candidates to take out a print of the locked choices.
(3)   Candidates will be allotted their seats according to their merit and preferences set. Seat allotment will be done by the Admission Authorities. The Seat allotment  will be done in the online mode. Candidates will be sent a seat allotment letter which they have to download and pay the acceptance fees. After paying the fees the candidates have to report to the help centers for the document verification process. The selected candidates will have to pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs. 45,000 after downloading their provisional allotment letter.  Candidates have to carry the original documents at the time of verification.
(4)   Reporting at the reporting centres: Candidates will have to take all the original documents in the specified reporting centre. They have to carry the original documents as per requirement. . If the candidates do not attend or qualify the document verification process, then their admission may get canceled.
(5)   Reporting at the Allotted Institutes:  After the verification process candidates have to report to the colleges or institutions for the admission process. The remaining balance admission fees is to be paid in the admission process. Candidates have to also provide the print out of the preference set in the choice filling procedure.

GCET Counselling 2018

GCET Counselling 2018 has been started from 17th May 2018. It is a state level entrance exam which is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa.  GCET Counselling Procedure 2018

The qualified candidates need to follow a definite procedure in order to participate in the counselling and seat allotment procedure. Applicants need to fill up the application form as per the course in which they want to get admission. The form is filled by the candidates those have appear in GCET entrance exam 2018.

Form A: The form will be filled to get admission in BE/B.Pharm through GCET.
Form B: The form will be filled for NEET 2018 based courses. Admission to BHMS and BAMS will also be provided through NEET scorecard.
Form C: The form will be filled to get admission in B.Arch through NATA.

GCET Counselling Procedure 2018

  • To participate in the counselling, candidates have to fill the application form in their own handwriting duly signed by the candidate. 
  • The application form should be submitted before the last date of receiving application forms. 
  • Candidates must mention the category in the relevant application form in which they want admission. 
  • For different course, candidates have to fill the different application form. 
  • On receiving the application forms, the admission authority will release the merit list for the candidates. 
  • Candidates those names will appear in the merit list have to reach the admission centre in prescribed date and time. 
  • On verification of original documents, the seats will be allotted on the basis of candidate’s rank. 
  • Candidates can report to the allotted colleges for the admission with the admission allotment letter on due dates.

Delhi JAC Counselling 2018

Delhi JAC Counselling 2018: JAC Delhi 2018 counselling is likely to be conducted from the second week of June 2018. Joint Admission Counselling Committee, Delhi is the official counselling conducting authority. Only the registered candidates will be able to fill and submit their preferred choices for admission which will be referred during seat allotment. Through counselling, students will be granted admission to B.E./B.Tech courses in DTU, IGDTUW and NSIT based on the merit of the candidates secured in JEE Main examination Paper I. JAC Delhi 2018 Counselling Procedure

Candidates need to follow the below-given steps in order to get admission in one of the participating institutions.

Step 1 – Payment of Counselling Fee
At first, all the eligible candidates who wish to participate in JAC Delhi Counselling 2018 need to pay the counselling fee. The registration cum counselling fee will be non-refundable. The payment of the counselling fees can be done by the candidates in both online or offline mode.

Step 2 – Online Registration
After the payment of fees is completed successfully, the candidates will have to register themselves for the counselling process. To complete the registration process, the candidates will have to click on the “New Registration Link” and submit the required details.

CUCET Counselling 2018

CUCET Counselling 2018 will be organized and conducted by each participating university. There is no particular counselling organizing body for CUCET 2018. Total ten central universities get combined and conduct one single common entrance test known as CUCET. Students who qualify this exam get admission to courses in UG/Integrated, PG & Research levels. The CUCET counselling date 2018 is conducted by each participating university separately through online mode. Each university will conduct its own counselling. CUCET Counselling Procedure 2018 

  • All the candidates need to register themselves for CUCET 2018 Counselling in online mode. Each participating universities will release its separate rank list for the shortlisted candidates. 
  • As per the CUCET 2018 Counselling schedule prescribed by each university, candidates have to attend the counselling. 
  • Candidates those who will score above the cut-off will be called for counselling. 
  • During counselling, candidates have to do choice locking and filling of colleges. 
  • The candidate who obtains the high rank will be given preference over the lower rank holder. 
  • On the basis of availability of seats and merit, the seat will be allotted to eligible candidates. 
  • Candidates have to freeze the seat and submit the admission fee after allotment of the seat.

JKCET Counselling Date 2018


JKCET Counselling 2018 – After the announcement of JKCET 2018 Result, BOPEE which is the official counselling authority will the conduct the JKCET 2018 Counselling for the qualified candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling and seat allotment based on the choice of the stream, college and score obtained in the entrance exam. Each qualified candidates need to participate personally in the counselling procedure. candidates need to pay Rs 500 for the counselling fees and appear for document verification round to participate in the counselling procedure. Candidates will be given an opportunity to fill their choice of colleges and branches in order of their preference during JKCET 2018 counselling procedure. JKCET 2018 Counselling Procedure

JKCET 2018 Counselling is scheduled to begin after the declaration of JKCET 2018 Result. The tentative date of the commencement of JKCET 2018 counselling is the third week of June 2018. There is a definite number of steps that are to be followed by the qualified candidates in order to participate in the counselling and seat allotment procedure. 

Step 1: Document Verification
This is the first and foremost process to participate in the JKCET 2018 Counselling.  Based on their merit and rank, candidates will be called for document verification. Candidates will have to report to the ‘J&K BOPEE Office, Bagat-e-Barzulla, opp J&K bank Barzulla, Srinagar or J&K BOPEE Office, 4th floor, South Block, Bahu Plaza, Jammu’. Step 2: Payment of JKCET Counselling Fee 2018
Candidate will have to pay Rs 500 as a fee for counselling of JKCET 2018 at the POS terminal at BOPEE office Srinagar/Jammu. Candidates can also pay the fees through swap machine available at BOPEE office.

Step 3: Choice Filling and locking
After successful payment of fees, qualified candidates have to fill their choices related to the college and stream in order of their preference. Based on these choices, candidates will be allotted seats in the participating institutes.

Step 4: Seat Allotment
Based on the choice of the college and stream, availability of seats and merit, the candidate will be allotted seat in the participating institutes of JKCET 2018. After the allotment of seat, if satisfied, the candidate has to report to the institute and complete the other formalities related to the admission procedure to confirm his/her seat.

BITSAT Counselling Date 2018

BITSAT Counselling and Seat Allotment 2018 – BITS Pilani will be conducting BITSAT 2018 counselling and seat allotment process tentatively from the third week of May 2018. All of the eligible candidates will have to register themselves for the counselling and seat allotment of BITSAT 2018 by filling and submitting the application form tentatively till the last week of June 2018. The personal and 12th standard qualifications have to be submitted and the candidates will have to select their preferred courses and campuses for the BITSAT counselling date 2018. The seat allotment of BITSAT 2018 is also known as Iteration and the first list will be announced tentatively in the first week of July 2018.

The first step towards the counselling is filling the admission form. Candidates have to fill the admission form which will be made available in the official website.

The candidates have to mention the course preference in the application form and submit it along with the 12th class mark sheet.
On the basis of merit prepared, candidates will be called for the counselling.
The admission committee will release the admit list along with wait list on their website.
Through merit list candidates can go for the counselling along with the required original documents.
Candidates whose names will appear in admit list can report to the allotted college for admission.
